My overall message is that you need to explore different ways of recording the same sound, this is the key to creating dub-anything. most of my favorite modern dub techno producers are almost totally digital in 2011. ![]() i don't care what maurizio or basic channel used, that equipment is not cheap or easy to use and is nearly impossible to buy nowadays. digital tools are no less valid for creativity than analogue, to say otherwise is elitist in my eyes. ![]() we all love the heydays of dub techno, the mid to late 90's where everything was warm and analogue, recorded on reel-to-reel, but that is dinosaur music (aka the production styles are outdated for a majority of producers). 90% of my techno-related productions involve digital synthesis (software/plugins or modular digital recording techniques). ![]()
